  1. Hi!
Question: Do the teachers/schools you sub for every give you directions on how to use the equipment? I do not think it is fair that they leave you hanging especially when everyone is not as fluent with their type of technology in the classroom. I see that in your other post you want to make an impact on the lives of kids. That is fantastic, good luck in all you do with your teaching experience and learning the ways of technology in the classroom and in your life 🙂

  2. They do most of the time. But with some teachers have multiple remotes to use to turn on the tv, and a different remote to change channels, then another one for the dvd players. And then there are remotes for the computer and the thing that attaches to the computer that projects something onto a screen. I feel like a fool having to ask how to use a tv when as a “teacher” I am expected to know everything and know how to use anything or do anything. I’m still best with paper and books.

  3. Hi! I agree with mlw79 and think it’s very unfair of teachers to not leave you directions. However, I have also found that most kids are very helpful and are more than willing to help out with a technology question. I think you’ll find that if you’re immersed in some of this technology, it becomes so much easier to use and so much more useful. I still ask my students questions about things from time to time regarding computer programs – they’re happy to be the expert and teach me something! 🙂

  4. Yeah kids are generally helpful. And as much as they get get a kick out of watching the idiot substitute fumble around, they especially hate having their time wasted.
