This Stevie Wonder entry will contain several of Wonder’s songs I like.
Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder from his Songs in the Key of Life double album, I remember listening to this song, written and recorded by Wonder in honor of his newborn daughter, in the dining room of my (fifth and longest tenured) childhood home. My mother bought this I am sure, and the sounds of baby cries in the background while Wonder sings ‘Isn’t she lovely, isn’t she won-der-ful.’ This album also contains ‘I Wish,’ Wonder’s nostalgic tribute to his childhood.
The therapist scene from Silver Linings Playbook. Hearing My Cherie Amour sets off (“triggers”) Bradley Cooper’s character. As an aside, Silver Linings Playbook is as perfect as movies come.
Another Stevie Wonder song from Silver Linings Playbook. This song is a part of the music played for Lawrence and Coopers’ dance routine.
I had no idea this was a Stevie Wonder original when I first heard the Red Hot Chili Peppers version.
Singing That’s What Friends Are For with Dionne Warwick, Luther Vandross, and Whitney Houston.
